Increasingly, isolated industrial photovoltaic production systems, regardless of the sector, are becoming more popular due to their efficiency and long lifespan. In this specific case, we are talking about ventilation systems for cattle farms, which contribute to a better quality of life for animals, allowing them to thrive regardless of the environmental conditions and the amount of heat they endure. This means that the owner of this type of facility will gain between 8 and 12% over the lifespan of the installation. These solar photovoltaic ventilation systems can also be implemented in other areas, such as closed-cycle poultry or pig farms. By using variable frequency drives with an oversized solar field, we can operate on any consumer that does not require a regular supply system and whose operation varies throughout the day, adapting to the variable solar supply provided throughout the daily isolation period.
What we’re told by the owners of this particular farm is that by implementing the direct solar photovoltaic ventilation system, the animals are calmer, eat normally, and gain weight. The ground is very dry, allowing them to rest comfortably and safely on it. Thus, experience allows us to affirm that the use of this type of direct isolated solar photovoltaic ventilation system is an investment that pays off. Once installed, it requires virtually no maintenance, as it is limited to an annual cleaning of the solar photovoltaic field and a routine check of the electrical and control system.
